Christy L Hartson was a caring mother, grandmother and friend. She passed away from cancer August 27, 2022 at the age of 66 in her home with family and friends by her side. Her battle this year with cancer showed her courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Christy stayed strong until the end.
Christy was born in Nelsonville, Ohio to Leo Snyder and Shirley Bullock on April 14, 1956. She had two sons Robert and Christopher (Chip). She had three grandchildren (from Robert and wife Jill) Ryan, Sara and Jenna.
After high school Christy worked very hard at Westinghouse and Hi-Stat most of her life to provide as much as she could for her two sons. Working in these factories is where she met most of her amazing friends throughout her life. She shared lots of love, fun, and laughter with these friends. What Christy liked to do most was to simply spend time with the loved ones in her life. The one thing that filled her heart the most was being with her grandkids. They just lit up her life. She loved her sons very much and she will be missed with all their hearts. To all her friends, your friendship with her is what made her life rich with joy and happiness. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Christy was preceded in death by her parents and brothers- Kerry and Jack Snyder.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Teresa Yoder for her love and care the last few months during Christy’s battle with cancer. The family would also like to thank Hospice of North Central Ohio and Snyder Funeral home for their care and support.
There will be a private burial at Mansfield Memorial Cemetery for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Robert Hartson at 2762 Maplewood Lane, Ashland Ohio 44805 to help cover unexpected expenses.
Snyder Funeral Homes is honored to serve Christy’s family and encourage you to leave a message of condolence or share a memory on her Tribute page at SnyderFuneralHomes.com
