John R. “Jack” Weeks, 87, of Mansfield, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at his home.
Jack was born August 15, 1934 in Irwin, Pennsylvania. He was the son of John and Ruth (Holsinger) Weeks. Jack retired from his family owned and operated business, Hoover Instrument Service. He was the co-owner of a 7’ robot, Elektro, built by Westinghouse, which was on display at the 1939 World Fair in New York. He was very inventive and dabbled in a variety of creative efforts, which included helicopters and submarines. Jack was a HAM Radio enthusiast and his call sign was K8RT. Jack was a proud member of AA, where he made a difference in many lives throughout the years.
Jack is survived by his children, Tracy (Jeff Busch) Weeks, Susye Ames, Robb (Angela) Weeks, and Thomas (Danielle) Weeks; his grandchildren, Sophie, Maggie, Joe, Tilia, Violet, Maddie, Cora, Seraphim, and Cherubim; his great-grandchild, Amaya; his brothers, Lowell and Dennis Weeks; and his former wife, Mary Anne Weeks. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends may visit from 12:00-1:00 pm on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Rd. A graveside service will follow immediately at 1:15 pm at Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Mended Hearts at OhioHealth.
