Phillip R. Steagall, 64, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, June 8, 2023.
Phil was born on September 14, 1958, in Olive Hill, KY. He attended Richland Newhope School and graduated in 1981. He later worked in the workshop at Richland Newhope Industries. Phil loved living with his mother, Jewel, and together, they went to church and participated in many potlucks and social activities there. Phil enjoyed helping around the house and yard. He was a people watcher and liked to socialize with others.
Phillip is survived by his mother, Jewel A. (Offill) Steagall of Mansfield; two brothers, Terry and Tracy both of Mansfield; two sisters, Debbra (Phil) Messer of Mansfield and Beverly Braden of Trinity, NC; two nieces, Skye and Ashley; and four nephews, Phil Jr., Adam, Levi, and Elias.
Phillip was preceded in death by his brother, Allen (Tarp) Steagall in 2014.
Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, OH. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
