Obituary
Joyce Ann Riddlebaugh, 84, passed away at Signature Healthcare in Galion on Monday, May 15, 2023.
Joyce was born on March 24, 1939 in Mansfield, Ohio. She was the daughter of Peter and Dorothy (Hardin) Maiyer. Joyce was a graduate of Springfield Township Schools now known as Ontario Local Schools. She was employed at Alta Greenhouse for over 40 years making her love for gardening and planting part of her career. As a mother, she loved volunteering her time as a Girl Scout Leader for her daughter’s troop. A bundle of energy, she was passionate about the things she loved, and could certainly have an ornery streak about her. Joyce had a great love for her grandchildren, and treasured many sweet memories she shared with them. She enjoyed a variety of sports, and she was an avid reader, and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and sewing.
She is survived by her daughters, Kim (Brad) Scott and Stacie Powell; her grandchildren, Alex, Emma, Adam, Michael, and Mark; her brother, Thomas (Susi) Maiyer; her sister-in-law, Joyce Carol Riddlebaugh; and her best friend, Madeline Sauer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Michael Harold Riddlebaugh; her son-in-law, David Powell; and a sister, Brenda Jo (Thomas “T.E.”) McHale.
Joyce will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park at a later date. Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario is honored to serve the Riddlebaugh family.
