Obituary
JoAnn Bumpus, 86, of Mansfield, was called to be with her Lord and Savior on June 21, 2018.
She was born on Nov. 7, 1931 to the late Leo and Bernice (Keefer) Blackstone in Mansfield, Ohio. She was a 1949 Mansfield Senior High graduate.
After graduation she went to work at Ohio Brass until her marriage in 1953 to Clifford Bumpus, when she pursued her best most meaningful position of her life as Wife and Mother. She enjoyed being a full-time mom and Grandmother. She loved her pets, tending to her flower garden, baking, and family time. Every year she prided herself in baking each one of her boys their favorite birthday cake no matter their age and cooking a special dinner for the entire family. Cooking for holidays and being surrounded by family was always one of her favorite times.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Clifford Bumpus; a brother, Roger (Carol) Blackstone, three sons, Mark (Kimberly), of Knoxville, Tennessee, Brian (Annette) and Carl (Lois), of Mansfield, Ohio; two grandchildren, Mark, Jr. (Dee), of Mansfield and Scott (Dr. Kelly), of Knoxville Tennessee; four great-grandchildren, Cody, Tyler, Gabrielle and Grace; and one great-great grandson Jayden.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bruce Elden.
The family has requested no calling hours or memorial service.
