Obituary
Gayle Lynn Moore (Fishburn), beloved daughter of the late Edward and Norma Fishburn (Moss), went home to her Lord and Savior on February 11, 2023 at the age of 75.
Born November 4, 1947 in Massillon, Ohio Gayle lived most of her life in Mansfield, Ohio. She was a graduate from Mansfield Senior High School and was devout Christian and member of First Presbyterian Church on South Trimble Road. She raised three daughters and taught hundreds more in her lifetime.
For 34 years, Gayle worked as a teacher for the First Presbyterian Preschool. She loved every minute teaching children. Her deep faith in Christ came through as she sang ‘Jesus Loves Me’ every morning and prepared little hearts for their next steps and instilled in them God’s love. It was common to see kids run up to her when she was out and about exclaiming their love for “Mrs. Moore, Mrs. Moore!”
Gayle was warm-hearted, generous, silly, and brought so much joy to those who knew her. She loved to dance, sing, shop and give gifts. She had wonderful friendships that have proven to be everlasting, including a special group of ladies called the Twisted Sisters.
Gayle loved decorating and always brought to life the magic of each season. Her Christmas’ were filled with Santa’s, hearts for Valentine’s Day, bunnies for Easter, flags for the 4th and pumpkins in the fall. She made everything sparkle and loved to host parties. Her favorite things were hearts and angels ¬– absolutely fitting for this Angel who blessed so many hearts.
She is survived by her three daughters, Jennifer Tomlinson (Todd); Kelly Zembo (Mark); and Michelle Zieber (Brian); grandchildren Morgan and Drew Tomlinson; Owen and Callie Zieber. Her loving siblings Kay Mast (Mike), Elaine Shea (Ken), Allison Woodruff (Brad); and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son Benjamin Edward Moore.
Friends may call Friday, February 17, 2023 from 10 am to 12 noon in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where the funeral service honoring Gayle Moore will follow at 12 pm. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
