Obituary
Lonnie Will Eatmon Sr. of Ontario passed away early Sunday morning, April 24, 2022, at his home.
He was born February 8, 1937, in Jackson, Mississippi, to the late Ora Lee (Davis) and James Eatmon. Moving to Mansfield for greater work opportunities, Lonnie found employment at General Motors. He retired after 33 years as a crane operator and was a dedicated worker. Providing for his family was Lonnie’s priority in life. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and sewing in his free time. Lonnie was a member of The Word Church of Mansfield.
Lonnie is survived by four children, Lonnie Eatmon Jr., Anthony Eatmon, Ronald (Karen) Eatmon, Donnie Eatmon Sr.; affectionate brother in-law Timothy Titus (Debra) Holt; eleven grandchildren, Jacqueta Eatmon, Janet Eatmon, Donnie Eatmon Jr., Elijah Eatmon, Damien Keys-Neal, Ayana Keys-Jones, Charles Williams, Abigail Williams, Lonnie Eatmon III, Candrell Burke and Ciani Eatmon; seven great-grandchildren, Audre, Selena, Halo, Khy'ier and Noah, Kayvion, Urban; nieces, Ora Kay Eatmon, Sandra (Cecil Sr.) Elliott and a host of other relatives and extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 plus years, Louise Holt Eatmon; daughters, Marcella Eatmon, Easter-Pearl Eatmon and Sherry Williams; and three siblings, Murdies Feagin, Freddie Davis and Jimmie Eatmon.
The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park.
