Stephen "Steve" Flannery

Stephen “Steve” Flannery, 72, of Crestline, Ohio unexpectedly passed away at his home on Thursday, February 11, 2021. He was born October 22, 1948, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, to the late William and Grace (Bloomfield) Flannery. He lived in Mansfield most of his life.
Steve was a hard worker and retired from working at AK Steel after 31 years. He was loving and had a kind heart, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Steve had a funny sense of humor and was known to stay busy. He enjoyed working on cars and houses. Steve attended the Belmont Community Church.
Steve is survived by his four children, Steve (Joyce) Flannery, Shane (Candi) Flannery, Kiesha Boone and Amber (Darryl) Bonner; fifteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Judy (Dale) Porter, Joyce (Danny) Tackett and Jolene DeBord; numerous nieces and nephews; and his former wife and lifelong best friend, Mary Carroll.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Billy, Benny and Sam Flannery; and three sisters, Jenny, Jewel and Nancy.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario, OH 44906. A service will follow thereafter beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Hank Webb officiating. He will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harmony House, 124 W. 3rd Street, Mansfield, OH 44902.
