Phyllis J. (Cole) Dawson, 80, of Lucas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.
Phyllis was born June 24, 1942, in Jacobs, KY, to Arthur D. and Mona (Sagraves) Cole. She married the love of her life, Glen O. Dawson Sr, on January 23, 1962. She attended Bethel Baptist Church with her husband and loved to be with her family and her church family. Phyllis loved cooking and sewing. Until her health declined, she also enjoyed traveling.
Along with her husband, Glen Dawson, Sr., she is survived by her sons, Glen Dawson, Jr. and Derek (Leslie) Dawson, both of Lucas; and siblings, Vernon C. Cole and Janey (Ronald) Stamper.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, R.D. Cole and Ronald E. Cole; and sister, Janet F. Plew.
Calling hours will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2023, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at the funeral home, with Pastor Larry Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
