Mother Oma Lee Muffett, 96, passed away on April 4, 2022. Oma was born on June 11, 1925 in Andalusia, AL to Ransom and Alice Jackson.
Mother Muffett was a member of Maddox Memorial COGIC where she served under three pastors; Elder L.G. Maddox, Elder Aaron Williams Sr and Elder Aaron Williams Jr. She served as a Senior Mother, Deaconess, Hospitality President and Senior Choir Member. She was a Master Chef at The Blue Dolphin Restaurant, The Park Place and The Holiday Inn.
She is preceeded in death by Parents; son, Leroy Nazarene Muffett; siblings, Beulah Mae French, General Edward Jackson, Johnny Jackson, James Jackson, Casalena Jackson, Willie Clyde Jackson Critner, Anna Pearl Francis, (twin sister) Amani Jackson, Julius Jackson, and Willie Bell Jackson.
Oma Lee is survived by her daughters Dianne Muffett; Oma Jean Phillips, Mary Helen Isom, Dorothy Louise Robinson, Anna Maude Robinson and Lorraine Barclay; son, Daniel Muffett; brother, Willie Jackson, 11 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family will receive friends at 360 W. 6th St. Tuesday-Thursday from 4-7pm.
Visitation 11:00am and Home Going Service 12:00 noon Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Maddox Memorial COGIC 1148 Walker Lake Rd.
Interment at Mansfield Memorial Park.
