Karen Lee Arnett, age 80, passed away Saturday morning, July 23, 2022, at Bailey Manor in Cookeville, Tennessee. She was born June 14, 1942, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Louise (Pfaff) and Raymond Beal.
Karen was a kind and loving soul who made it her life’s work to help others. She was an original member of the Peace Corps and devoted teacher to her students. Karen was a loving sister, aunt, and stepmother.
She is survived by three stepchildren, Terri (Mike) Zumbro, George (Lailyn) Arnett, and Robert (Rose) Arnett; a brother, John (Beverly) Beal; a nephew, John Beal; a niece, Cristine Beal; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George P. Arnett; and stepdaughter, Sharon Griffith.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor John Dodds officiating. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park.
