Margaret A. (Sampsel) Carney, 84, of Mansfield, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at Crestline Nursing Center.
Margaret was born on September 26, 1936, in Lucas, to Delner and Hazel (Ervin) Sampsel. She worked and retired from Westinghouse. She enjoyed watching Ohio State football, Cleveland Caveliers basketball, and Nascar racing with her family members, plus playing bingo and poker. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all.
She is survived by her daughter, Shelly (Jerry) Kiser and son, Joseph S. Carney; grandchildren, Shawn (Penny) Kiser and Kelly (Justin) Stephens; great-grandchildren, Cole (Tiphanie), Hunter and Kendal Kiser, Daylin, Jaylann and Greyson Stephens; and great-great-grandson, Karsyn Kiser.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Carney; son, Shawn Carney; grandson, Shannon Kiser; and sisters, Marjorie Northover, Dorothy Hilton, and Ina Jean Byrd.
A graveside memorial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Mansfield Memorial Park. Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, OH is assisting the family with the arrangements.
