ALEXANDER "SANDY" HAMILTON, 69, OF 81 1/2 W FIFTH ST. DIED THIS MORNING AT PEOPLES HOSPITAL FOLLOWING A BRIEF ILLNESS.
HE WAS BORN MAY 12, 1892 AT LARKSHALL, SCOTLAND, COMING TO MANSFIELD IN 1922. HE WAS EMPLOYED IN THE OPEN HEARTH DEPT OF EMPIRE-REEVES STEEL CORP. UNTIL HIS RETIREMENT FOUR YEARS AGO.
HE WAS A MEMBER OFTHE LOYAL ORDER OF MOOSE, ORDER OF OWLS AND A LIFETIME MEMBER OF THE LARKSHALL F AND A.M. LODGE.
SURVIVING ARE HIS WIFE, MRS. JANET CRAIGENS HAMILTON; THREE SONS, ALEXANDER JR. OF EL PASO, TX, AND JOHN AND WILLIAM OF MANSFIELD; A DAUGHRER, MRS.HENRY AU, CRESTLINE, RD 2, AND NINE GRANDCHILDREN.
THE BODY WAS REMOVED TO THE WAPPNER FUNERAL HOME WHERE SERVICES WILL BE CONDUCTED MONDAY MORNING AT 10AM BY THE REV. COBURN C. VANDERSALL, PASTOR OF THE MAIN STREET EVANGELICAL UNITED BRETHERN CHURCH. BURIAL WILL BE IN MANSFIELD MEMORIAL PARK.
