Mildred E. Fry, 96, of Mansfield, passed away Monday morning, March 22, 2021, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. She was born November 16, 1924, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Isaac N. and Okie Ellen (Back) Webb.
She was a 60-year member of First Assembly of God church where she taught a Bible prophecy class during Sunday school. Deeply religious, Mildred also wrote a book entitled “Revelation Revealed”. At the age of 80, she completed her GED, accomplishing a lifelong goal.
Mildred is survived by a son, John Douglas Fry of Oklahoma City, OK; two nieces, Paula Reid of Hayesville and Carol McClain of Mansfield; and three nephews, Mike Brumm of Cincinnati, Tim Reid and Ken Webb, both of Mansfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jack Keith Fry on March 3, 2010; sister, Violet Reid; and two brothers, Clifford Webb and Isaac Webb Jr.
The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2021, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park beside her husband. Memorial contributions may be made to Mansfield First Assembly Church.
