Obituary
Ethel Davis passed away peacefully at home on June 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 72 years old. Ethel was born on July 3, 1952, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, to Pinie May (Binion) and Kale Mosier. Ethel retired from Mount Vernon Developmental Center and, beyond her retirement until his death on May 10, 2025, cared for a very special person—David Pharr.
Ethel enjoyed tranquil time at home and gathering with friends and family often. She was sweet, generous and caring and will forever be missed by the many who love her dearly.
In addition to David Pharr, Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; sister, May Lambert; and brothers, Ephraim Mosier, John Robert “Bob” Mosier, George Daniel Mosier, and Kale “June” Mosier Jr.
Ethel is survived by her daughters, Tammy (Dwayne) Klein, Sandy (Scott) Long, and Amy (Philip) Wilson; grandchildren, Gary (Jessica) Williams, Kevin Williams, Emmett Reisinger, Brandon Reisinger, Trenton Long, and Colton Petry; great-grandchildren, Aiden Duda, Chloe Williams, and Warren Reisinger; and sisters, Martha Owens and Goldie Owens.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Wappner Funeral Directors and Crematory-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Jake Davis officiating. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank the staff at the James Cancer Hospital and Heartland Hospice for their care.
