John O. Travis, 61, of Mansfield, passed away Monday, September 30, 2019 at his home following a lengthy illness.
John was born July 28, 1958 in Loudonville, Ohio, the son of Robert J. Travis and Evelyn (Doyle) Hawkins. He had worked as a die setter for ArtiFlex Manufacturing in Wooster. He enjoyed old cars and loved animals.
Along with his wife, Marcia (Swartz) Travis, and his mother, Evelyn Hawkins, he is survived by three children, Amanda Studer, Neil Travis, and William Debo, III; numerous grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four siblings, Mary I. (JC) Fuller, Robert A. Travis, Donald R. Travis, and Dora J. Haynes; and several nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Travis and his daughter, Julie Plew.
Calling hours will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Robert J. Kurtz officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
