Eugene "Joe" Wagenhals, age 89, resident of Shelby died Sunday, December 06, 2020 at Crestwood Care Center in Shelby.
Born December 22, 1930 in Mansfield to Joseph & Elizabeth (Kapp) Wagenhals, he has lived in Shelby since 2010. Joe retired from Mansfield City Water Department after 31 years of service and enjoyed woodworking in his spare time.
He is survived by a step-daughter, Betty (Ed) Detillion of Shelby; two step-grandchildren, Brian (Wendy) Gunder and Scott Gunder; three step-great-grandchildren, Andrew (Alexandra) Craft, Samantha (Christian) Ballengee, Sydney Gunder; one great-great grandson Oliver Ballengee; sister-in-law Millie Chodera; two nephews, George and Donald Boyle; and niece, Anita Ingram.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cora (Beatty) Davis in March of 1974; sister Elsie Boyle; brother, Fred Wagenhals and nephew, Robert Boyle.
Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 10:30-11:00 AM. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Rev. Jeffrey Croft will officiate with interment held in Mansfield Memorial Park.
