Obituary
Roger Broach of Mansfield, died peacefully on February 8, 2021, with his family by his side after a long series of surgeries and complications following a cancer diagnosis made one year ago.
He was born April 25, 1942, to Viron and Cora Ellen (Lambert) Broach. He was a very proud Navy veteran. Nearly 33 years ago he met and married his best friend, Janet Metzger. He affectionately referred to her as his angel during his period of difficult medical struggle for recovery.
Upon his retirement, he thoroughly enjoyed his hobby of building and flying model airplanes and hanging out with his flying buddies. He also loved being his wife’s favorite pickleball partner and enjoyed the competition provided by his pickleball friends. He was also an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Being an animal lover, he always enjoyed the company of his special furry critters and his family trips to the zoo.
In addition to his wife, Janet Broach, he is survived by his two children, Karen Broach of Mansfield and Douglas Broach of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Broach and sister, Dorothy Oyler.
Due to Covid-19, no visitation will be observed. A service for Roger where he will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park will be held at a future date. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral is honored to serve the family.
