V. Lynette Precht passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital at the age of 76 surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 16, 1944, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Guy and Juanita (Kuhn) Oldfield.
She was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School and was employed as a cook at various businesses throughout the years. When she was a youngster, Lynette enjoyed riding and showing horses. As an adult she was a voracious reader and enjoyed crochet work. She enjoyed watching the birds, especially the cardinals, and adored the company of her pug dog, Max.
Lynette is survived by a son, Guy (Melissa) Precht; three daughters, Terri (Jerry) Kiser, Stacey Baker and Melinda (Keith) Miller; ten grandchildren, Christen (Seth) Schwertfager, Blake Baker, Ben Baker, Tasha (Justen Gibson) Miller, Josh Miller, Daniel Miller, Megan Miller, Jerrod Kiser, Alyssa Precht and Michael Precht; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Oldfield.
Private graveside services will be observed. The family welcomes and encourages all to share their memories of Lynette on the funeral home website.
