Obituary
Victoria Mae Scully (Vicky) passed away April 2, 2022 at Shelby Pointe.
Vicky was born in Mansfield Ohio on January 28, 1954, to Hugh and Lucille Scully. She attended Newman elementary school and graduated from Newhope School. Vicky worked many years at Richland Newhope Industries and took pride in her work. After her retirement, she attended an activities program with HR Choices. It seemed wherever she went in town, Vicky knew someone, and she would have a funny story to tell. Later in life, she became an honorary member of the Bill (Tammy) Staton family in Shelby, and especially enjoyed playing with the grandchildren and joking with the family. She was most recently a resident at Shelby Pointe, where she relished flirting with the men and kept the staff on their toes.
Vicky was close to her parents and missed them greatly after their passing. She is survived by her brother Hugh Scully, as well as her son Justin Rose, daughter Crystal Rose, and granddaughter Chloe, all of Mansfield. She will be missed by the Staton and Rose families, as well as many friends from Newhope and HR Choices.
Vicky was a stylish lady and had a collection of sunglasses and hats. She loved a party. Anytime there was music, Vicky was boogying and clapping in perfect rhythm. She loved her chocolate. Vicky will be remembered most for her feisty independence, her ornery nature, and her outspokenness. No one will forget her sly grin, the great pleasure she got from playing tricks on people, and her ability to make people laugh.
Visitation will take place Thursday from 11:00am – 12:00pm at Herlihy Funeral Home, 173 Park Avenue West. A graveside service will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park.
