Linda Lou Johnson
June 18, 1943 - February 18, 2020
Linda L. Johnson, age 76, of Mansfield, passed away Tuesday morning, February 18, 2020, at Knox Community Hospital. She was born June 18, 1943, in Soldier, Kentucky, to the late Thomas Daniel and Ethel Y. (Gillum) Lewis.
She was a member of Mansfield Wesleyan Holiness Church and was well loved by all that knew her. Linda greatest joy was caring for others which fit well with her occupation as a home health care aide. She was a member of V.F.W. Post #9943 Auxiliary.
Linda is survived by a daughter, Camille (Rodger) Wilkin of Mount Vernon; daughter-granddaughter, Danielle Johnson; five grandchildren, David (Brooke) Reese II, Christopher Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Chelsea Johnson, and Brandi Foote; three step-grandchildren, Chrissy Keske, Richard Harold (Jessica Pore), and Danny (Cheri) Harold; nine great-grandchildren, David Reese III, Matthew Flater II, Chassidy Flater, Alyssa Flater, Victoria Johnson, Maximo Luka, Taylor Reese, Kailee Reese and Kenaniah Prater; four step great-grandchildren, Ava Harold, Wyatt Harold, Sydney Keske, and Albe Keske; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenford W. Johnson; daughter, Teresa Reese; step-daughter, Vicki Shaefer; two brothers, John and Denver Lewis; and six sisters, Ruby Bradley, Stella Pearson, Fay Stewart, Jean Bishop, Margaret Steed, and Josephine Barker.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 23, 2020, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 10:30 with Rev. William Cantlebarry officiating. Additional visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park.
