Kathleen Ann (Gottfried) Kapustar, age 69, passed away February 15, 2019, surrounded by her family.Kathy was born July 26, 1949, in Mansfield, Ohio. She was a 1967 graduate of Malabar High School. She also graduated from Wilmington College and earned her Master's degree in Education from Ashland University. Kathy taught school for 35 years with 28 of them at Lexington High School. She took pride in the accomplishments of her children, her grandchildren, and her former students.Kathy is survived by her husband of 47 years, Alan, and her four children, Kent (Heather) Kapustar; Kara Kapustar; Kristen (Brian) Stull; and Katie (Ian) Cunningham. Kathy also dearly loved her 11 grandchildren, Noah and Rebekah Kapustar; Reagan, Samuel, and Ella Stull; and Camille, Norah, Myla, James, Penny, and Clive Cunningham. She is also survived by her sister, Betsy (Ed) Rollings of Matteson, Illinois, and her two brothers, Russell Gottfried of Mansfield and Bruce (Jayne) Gottfried of Granville and their families.Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Clariss Gottfried; her maternal grandparents, Walter and Bertha Buck; and her paternal grandparents, Andrew and Barbara Gottfried.A private family burial service was conducted at Mansfield Memorial Park. Family and Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Berean Baptist Church, 2145 Middle Bellville Road, Mansfield, OH 44904. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 11:00 a.m.Memorial contributions may be made to the Berean Baptist Church Deacons' Fund, 2145 Middle Bellville Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44904.
