Donald “Don” Ray Morris, 88, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Lexington Court Care Center. He was born August 28, 1936, to the late Ambert and Helen (Knepper) Morris. Don married his wife, Sarah, August 27, 1960. He worked as an Operating Engineer in road construction. Don was a member of Trinity Grace Methodist Church in Mansfield. He loved growing Christmas trees. Don enjoyed old cars and his collection of Texaco memorabilia.
Don is survived by his wife, Sarah (Stiefel) Morris; daughters, Jamie Adkins, Christine Morris, Dawn Rae Denton; son-in-law, Dr. Bob Denton; siblings, Jane Eshelman, Sandra Kleman, Peggy (Alvin) Lybarger, Douglas (Carolyn) Morris, Penny Morris, Victor (Becky) Morris, Daniel (Stephanie) Morris, Blair (Evelyn) Morris, and Peter (Karen) Morris, 16 grandchildren; and brothers-in-law Harold (Diane) Stiefel and Dr. John Stiefel. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Melanie Morris Wharton; and brothers, Eugene Morris and James Morris.
Family and friends will gather at 11:00 AM for a graveside service officiated by Pastor Larry Carnes on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Mansfield Memorial Park, 2507 Park Avenue West, Ontario. The family would like to extend their thanks to Lexington Court Care and Southern Care for the excellent care and comfort they provided to Donald.
