Florence Crawford, 82, of Mansfield, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021. She was born in Hueysville, Kentucky, on July 16, 1938 to Arthur and Mollie (Vanderpool) Stephens.
She married the love of her life, Clella Crawford, on October 11, 1957. He preceded her in death along with her parents and two brothers, Kenneth Stephens and Franklin Stephens.
Florence was a devoted wife and mother who had a love for owls that were beautifully displayed throughout her home. She loved cooking, sewing and cleaning. Florence enjoyed working outdoors and grew a beautiful garden for many years. She adored cats and took care of many over the years. She was a longtime member of Wyandotte Freewill Baptist Church where she performed custodial duties for the church for many years.
Florence is survived by six sisters, Gladys Fliger, Lula (Sam) Sexton, Clara Sexton, Betty Goble, Alma (Jack) Kegley and Wanda Alonso; two brothers, Charles Stephens and James (Cynthia) Stephens; two sons, Jeffrey (Elsie) Crawford and Brian Crawford; six grandchildren, Joseph Crawford, Jeremiah Crawford, Brandy Crawford, Mikayla Herron, Brooklyn Gillogly and Owen Crawford; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She loved each and every one deeply.
Please join us in celebrating her life on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Pastor Delmer Bailey will conduct the service. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park. Complying with all Covid-19 protocols, all guests are required to wear a face covering and maintain appropriate social distancing during their visit.
