Robert A. “Bob” Perkins, 75, of Norwalk, died on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky. He was born on November 22, 1944 in Shelby to the late Clifford and Mary (Horning) Perkins. He graduated from Mansfield Sr. High School in 1963.
Bob was a wonderful father, husband and “Papa” who cherished his family. He had worked at P & R Hardware, where he spent 35 years, of which the last 20 he owned the company with his wife Nancy Perkins.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy (Stockton) Perkins; his children, Brian Perkins and Kelly Perkins Camp; grandchildren, Tyler (Celeste) Camp, Katie Camp and Sydney Perkins; great grandchild, Eliza Camp; step children, Carrie Ohlmacher, Victoria (Jason) Wilson and Brandon (Lacey) Phillips; step grandchildren, Isabella and Orion Ohlmacher, who he helped raise; other step grandchildren, Carly Wilson, Nathan Wilson and Paisley Phillips; step great grandchild (on the way) Kennedy Rhineberger and dog and companion, Leia.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his siblings, William Perkins, Ronald Perkins, James Perkins, Carol Corn, Martha Stover and Marlene Schultz and special aunt and uncle Darl and Ginny Fritz.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk from 2 – 4 P.M. and 6 – 9 P.M., where a service will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2020 beginning at 2 P.M., burial will take place at a later date.
