George "Tony" Goad III
March 27, 1955 - November 22, 2020
George “Tony” Goad III, 65, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. He was born in Mansfield on March 27, 1955 to the late George and Lois (Thompson) Goad.
George was a school bus driver for the Mansfield City Schools. He was a huge supporter of the TYger Nation and coached baseball, basketball, football and softball. George enjoyed singing karaoke, working as a DJ and could be found listening to country music. Though he was known for his funny side and humorous jokes, he had a great sense of direction. George had a heart for people and was very caring and generous. He loved and cherished all the moments spent with his family. He was known for his famous sayings, “move those chains” and “TYgers in the house”. George was a member of New Beginnings Church and sang in the choir.
He is survived by his son, George (Tiffany) Goad IV; daughter Nikki Goad; three grandchildren, Hayley Goad, George Goad V and Alexis Goad; siblings, Peggy (Gary) Collins, Mike (Trina) Goad, Ronnie (Linda) McGuire, Tina Rush, Melissa (Lisa) Bristow and Tommy (Winnie) Goad; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Tammy Osborne, James McGuire and Donna Faye Wilson.
There will be a private memorial service held for the family. The family request no flowers be sent, instead please make a memorial contribution to New Beginnings Church, P.O. Box 451 Mansfield, OH 44901.
