Lisa M. Sigmon Obituary
MANSFIELD: Lisa M. Sigmon passed away on September 14, 2024 in Columbus, Ohio at Riverside Methodist Hospital after a brief illness. She was 54 years old.
Lisa was born in Springfield, Ohio to parents James J., Jr. and Linda L. (Henesy) Sigmon. Lisa’s strong work ethic led her to working at Swan Cleaners through her twenties, and eventually to an eighteen-year career as a housekeeper at Mansfield Memorial Homes where she ensured residents had a clean and comfortable place to live.
Though quiet and reserved, Lisa worked hard to ensure the care of those around her. She never failed to work holidays and overtime, and even when she was off the clock, she would have given a friend the shirt off her back if they needed it. Although she worked tirelessly to support others, Lisa enjoyed simple pleasures like watching re-runs of her favorite show, Charmed, and sipping Dr. Pepper. She loved learning about Native American cultures and was an avid reader of romance stories, and often listened to her favorite country and western songs. Lisa was kind and loving to all those she knew, and of course adored her nieces and nephews.
Lisa is survived by siblings Kimberly J. Bryan and Allen S. Sigmon; nieces Amber D. Bryan and Cassie A. Bryan; great nieces and nephew Latosha D. Brandy, Tashyna R. Brandy, Javohnn J. Brandy; soon-to-be great-great niece Emberlyn D. Beck; aunts Karen “Sue” Walden, Debbie Walde, Edna (Antonio) Wilson, and Bonnie (Rob) Bostick; uncles Ronnie (Tosha) Sigmon, James J. (Jennifer) Sigmon III, and Lester (Cassie) Sigmon; and many more cousins, friends, and loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James J., Jr. and Linda L. Sigmon; paternal grandparents James J. Sigmon, Sr. and Janie Davis; maternal grandparents Noble and Grace Henesy; uncle Rick Sigmon; aunts Joyce Durst, Julie Henesy, and Sandy Henesy; and cousin Franklin “Dallas” McGuire.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites loved ones to contribute to Lisa’s funeral expenses in her memory.
Lisa’s family invites loved ones to join them for calling hours on September 28, 2024 from 11am to 1pm at Snyder Funeral Homes’ Lexington Avenue Chapel. Graveside service and burial to follow at Mansfield Memorial Park.
