Leland E. Crownover
FORMERLY MANSFIELD - Leland E. Crownover, age 95, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Leland was born on December 12, 1925, and was a lifelong resident of Mansfield, Ohio. He was a former employee of Gorman Rupp. Leland proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. Showing true heroic service during his service, Leland received the bronze star and the purple heart. Leland loved the game of golf and it did not matter if it was either playing or watching it on television, and he was an avid coin collector.
Leland is survived by his daughters, Linda L. Crownover Bergman, and Pamela J. Crownover (Philip) McDonald; grandson, Philip McDonald; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, B. Wanda (Tipper) Crownover; his son-in-law, Chuck Bergman; his two brothers; and a sister.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 11:00 am in Mansfield Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church, 12 N. Diamond St., Mansfield, Ohio. Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home in Cincinnati assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
