Patricia ‘Patty’ J. Trumpower Hubbard, 50, of Mansfield, died Sunday, March 18, 2007, at Lexington Court Care Center after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Born November 18, 1956 in Los Angeles, CA, she was the daughter of Norman S. and Iris Keinath Trumpower. A devoted mother and homemaker, she was formerly married to Warren ‘Denny’ Hubbard for 23 years. A graduate of Mansfield Senior High School, she attended North Central Technical College where she studied Secretarial Science. After graduation, she was briefly employed at 20th Century Printing in Lexington. She was a member of Cook Rd. First Alliance Church. Patricia loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed creative writing including letters to the editor cooking, photography and hair styling. Blessed with a wonderful sense of humor, she liked playing practical jokes on her friends and family. She and her family had several special interest stories featured in the News Journal about their struggle coping with her Multiple Sclerosis.
She is survived by three daughters, Kate Alonzo of Canton, Julie Hubbard of Toledo and Kelly Hubbard of Mansfield; a son, Jared Hubbard of Strongsville; granddaughter, Alexis Alonzo of Canton; mother, Iris Trumpower of Mansfield; four sisters, Kay McNaul of Mansfield, Barbara Todd Dilley of Lexington, Sydney Alexander of Wilmington, NC, and Nancy Trumpower of Alhambra, CA; six brothers, Mike Valerie Trumpower of Scottsdale, AZ, Scott LuAnn Trumpower, Tim Traci Trumpower, Jeff Brooke Trumpower, all of Mansfield, Chris Trumpower of Wilmington, NC, and Pete Chastity Trumpower of Akron; several aunts and uncles; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Norman S. Trumpower on March 11, 2007, grandson, Alexander Alonzo, two brothers, Steven and Andy Trumpower, two sisters, Debbie and Linda Trumpower, brother-in-law, Tom McNaul, sister-in-law, Peggy Trumpower, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Friends may call Thursday, March 22 from 6-9 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Frank Moore of McElroy Rd. Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
