Obituary
G. Helen Vipperman
September 4, 1926 - January 11, 2021
G. Helen Vipperman, 94, of Ashland, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at The Good Shepherd Rehabilitation and Healthcare Campus.
Helen was born on September 4, 1926 in Louisa, Kentucky to Marion and Stella (Carter) Roberts. Loving, kind, gentle, and generous are just a few words that could truly describe Helen. She was employed in the cafeteria at Mansfield City Schools. Helen was a lifelong member of Stewart Road Church of God where she was the Sunday School secretary for 20 years and also taught Bible School. Always busy doing something, Helen loved to quilt, knit, and work her crossword puzzles. She took much pride in her garden and her yard and made sure to keep them pristine. She loved to make memories sitting on her swing with her family close by.
She leaves behind her children, Larry E. (Trellene) Vipperman of Mansfield, Pamela E. (Bob) Vipperman Brown of Lexington, Douglas A. Vipperman of Butler, and Cheryl L. (Tom) Keller of Mansfield; eleven grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 77 years, William Jefferson Vipperman; her son, Phillip Vipperman; and her eight siblings.
Family and friends may visit from 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road. Helen’s grandson, Mike Vipperman, will officiate her funeral service at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 15, 2021 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Mansfield Memorial Park. As Helen was very generous, please consider making a memorial contribution in her honor to Mansfield Church of God, 1425 N. Stewart Road Mansfield, Ohio 44905.
