Obituary for Thomas Rainer Norris
Services for Thomas Rainer Norris will be at 5 PM on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.
The family will receive friends from 2-5 PM on Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
A graveside service and burial will be at 1 PM on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Mansfield Memorial Park.
At the request of the family, masks are required while attending the visitation and/or services.
Mr. Norris passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.
Born January 31, 1950, in Mansfield, he has lived in Willoughby since summer 1988.
Mr. Norris attended Case Institute of Technology and Cleveland State University. He also attended Willoughby United Methodist Church and was very involved in coaching his children’s baseball, softball and soccer teams and always had at least one project underway.
Mr. Norris was a mechanical engineer, having worked at American Gas Association, General Electric Corporation, then as a consultant for the Six Sigma Academy. Most recently, he has owned and operated Pixalls Photo Art Gallery and Studio in downtown Willoughby.
Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Patricia (Pifer) Norris; children, Stephen (Jennifer) Norris and Diana (James) Sarao; grandchildren, Emma and Addison Norris and Michael and Shane Sarao and brother, John (Nancy) Norris. He also leaves his faithful canine companion, Brody, and many nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard E. and Helen A. (Burke) Norris, sister, Janet Blair and brother, Howard L. Norris.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to One of a Kind Animal Shelter, 1929 W. Market Street, Akron, OH 44313, where they adopted Brody.
