Theresa Ann Owens, 72, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital surrounded by her family. Born April 18, 1944 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Robert and Margaretha (Schuff) Wade.
She was a natural care giver and retired from Crystal Care Center following 24 years as a cook. She loved talking on the phone, dancing, crocheting, bowling and her dogs. She was very family oriented who loved her family and grandchildren unconditionally. She and her husband, Donald, were proud to be parents of foster children.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald Owens whom she met when she was 13 and he was 16; three daughters, Belinda (Kevin) Williams, Donna (Clifford Benson) Thompson and Annette (Richard) Ward; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; five step grandchildren; her foster children; a sister, Margaret Robinette; numerous special nephews; and her fur babies, Paco and Sophie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Wade Bowman and a son-in-law, Rick Thompson.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield conducted by Rev. Glenn M. Phillips. Friends may call prior to the memorial service, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., at the funeral home on Tuesday.
