Lillian Rose Jerep, age 97, of Phoenix, Arizona, died Wednesday morning, February 23, 2022. She was born August 15, 1924, in St. Louis, Missouri, and was the daughter of Victor and Rose (Kalman) Jerep.
After graduating from North High School in Akron, Ohio, Lillian worked as a cost clerk and secretary for B. F. Goodrich for ten years. She became one of the first LPNs in Ohio, working for oral surgeons Levy and Lash for thirty years in Akron. She was the oldest of her siblings and never married. She cared for her widowed mother for many years. Lillian moved to Mansfield, Ohio on July 29, 2000, to live with her sister Martha (Ed) Gerhardt. Five years later, she became a resident of the Apostolic Christian Home on Logan Road. In June of 2019, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she lived with her nephew, Dave (Deb) Gerhardt. Quiet in spirit with a giving heart, she loved her dear Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. Lillian was dearly loved by her nephews and nieces. She often told them and others, “Thank you, I love you, God bless you”.
Lillian is survived by a brother, Charles (Doris) Jerep of Carpinteria, California; a sister, Loraine (Chuck) Boyer of Clinton, Ohio; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Martha Gerhardt and Mildred Dreste; and a brother, William Jerep. In addition, a younger brother passed away as an infant.
The family will receive friends from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022, in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. A graveside service will immediately follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
