Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Breitinger sadly took her last breath here on earth on Saturday, August 24, 2024, in the early morning hours at the age of 72, after a short illness.
She was born in Oxford, England, and had resided in Mansfield, Ohio, for over the past 50 years. She will best be remembered as a devoted wife to her husband, Mark, loving mother to her two sons, Matthew and Martin, and a doting grandmother to four grandchildren, Landon, Trevor, Haylee and Sophia. She was also an aunt and second mom to her two nieces, Jaimie and Lindsey, as well as a guiding presence in the lives of Lindsey’s sons, Anthony and Lukas. Mary most enjoyed spending the day boating on Lake Erie with her family, sitting in a garden filled with flowers, traveling to new places, or cheering for one of her grandchildren at a sporting event—especially soccer games!
She is survived by her husband, Mark; two sons, Matthew and Martin; two daughters-in-law, Trisha and Brooke; as well as her grandchildren, Landon, Trevor, Haylee and Sophia Breitinger.
She has been reunited with loved ones who have preceded her in death including her parents, Trevor and Kathleen Williams; in-laws, Bill and Eloise Breitinger; dear sister, Janet; as well as many aunts, uncles and her husband’s siblings.
Mary has always been someone who showed unwavering support to those around her, whether it be family, friends, or co-workers. We choose not to believe we have lost her guiding hand, but gained an angel to watch us from above.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Kingwood Center at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario is honored to serve the family.
