Obituary
MANSFIELD: It is with profound sadness the family of Nancy Jean Maxwell Stricker announces her passing away on Friday, November 18, 2022. She was 87.
The daughter of Dawson F. Maxwell and Helen M. Beal Maxwell, Nancy was born on February 25, 1935 at Stahls Corners, near Lexington, Ohio. Formerly of City View Drive, she was a lifelong Mansfielder having graduated from Mansfield Senior High with the Class of 1953. She was a member of the First Church of the Brethren and faithfully attended church until she was unable.
Nancy retired from General Motors, where she worked in Metal Assembly and enjoyed crafts and shopping. Always a sharp dresser she enjoyed wearing her collection of costume jewelry along with her diamonds. Most of all, Nancy loved having her family all together on holidays and special occasions.
She is survived by her daughters Pamela (Ed) Wurth of Mansfield, Terri (Jeff) Dodge of Troy, Montana, and Susan (Jerry) Cline of Fort Myers, Florida; grandchildren Ethan Moyer, Eric Moyer, Paul Michael Coffelt, Collin Cline, and Courtney Cline; great grandchildren Crew Cline, Layla Cline, and Samuel Moyer; and her sister Nanette Swansey of Aiken, South Carolina.
Nancy is predeceased by her parents and sister Nila Maxwell Adams.
The Stricker family will receive guests Friday, November 25, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Finefrock Chapel of the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, 350 Marion Avenue, Mansfield. Her funeral service will be held Saturday November 26, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Deacon John Carter and Pastor Delbert Kettering will officiate. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
Memorial Contributions to First Church of the Brethren may be made at the funeral home.
