Jerry McCord, 75, of Mansfield, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at his home.
He was born January 29, 1946, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Doris (Compton) and Clifford McCord. While in high school, he worked at Westinghouse Corp. He then went to work for and retired from F.E. Myers after 40 years of service. Jerry was a huge, long-suffering fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Cincinnati Reds. He enjoyed camping at every opportunity.
Jerry is survived by two sons, David McCord and Robert McCord; daughter, Amy (Howard) Stephenson; three grandchildren, Howard (Bobbie) Stephenson III, Samantha Stephenson and Catharine Robinson; four great-grandchildren, Aiden, Carson and Grayson Robinson, and Isabella Alexander; two brothers, Ed McCord and Thomas Weidemeyer; and a sister, Sharon Mabry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Mize McCord on May 19, 2007; and sister, Juanita Hilker.
Private family services will be observed. He will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
