Obituary
LEXINGTON: “When life throws you a curve, lean into it.” Steven leaned into every curve especially while on his Harley.
Steven E. Holbrook passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus Sunday, September 20, 2020 and was blessed to be surrounded by his family in his home. He was 63.
He was born November 21, 1956, in Ashland, Kentucky to parents Eugene & Judy (Everman) Holbrook. He graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1975.
Steven worked as a Carpenter with his family at Holbrook & Sons for over 25 years and was with FST Logistics for the last 10 years.
He loved riding his Harley. Any chance he had to go on a bike trip he would go. He just wanted to be on his Harley going anywhere. He enjoyed woodworking and manning the grill at family cookouts. He was a simple man and would give his last dollar to make someone else’s day. Above all he enjoyed spending any time he could with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife Donna Holbrook; children Angela (Michael) Shipman and David Wagner; step-children Crystal (Rick) Hess David Spillman; Chester (Yolonda) Stollings, Kristen Stollings and Sean (Heather) Stollings; grandchildren Tori Shipman, Morgan Shipman, Jayden Hess, Bryston Hess, Aaliyah Hess, Tristyn Hess and Alexiyah Hess, Scarlett Spillman, Lucas Stollings, Layni Stollings, Hayden Stollings, Anthony Stollings, Brianna Stollings, Ciara Stollings, Blake Ludwig and Patience Ludwig and their mother Tabatha Ludwig; brother Randy Holbrook and Rusty (Jo) Holbrook.
In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by his brother David Holbrook.
Contributions to assist the family with a headstone may be sent to the funeral home (Please make checks out to Snyder Funeral Home).
His family will receive friends Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 10 am – 12 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where a funeral service honoring his life will begin promptly at 12 pm. Pastor Terry Garrett will officiate. As Steven would have wanted, guests are encourage to wear jeans and casual attire to the services. Steven will go for his “last ride” to Mansfield Memorial Park in a Motorcycle Hearse following the service and invites anyone with a motorcycle to join the ride to the graveside.
