Obituary
Faye Ruth Caudill, 84 of Olympia, Kentucky, formerly of Mansfield, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at her home while surrounded by her family.
Ruth was born on July 17, 1937, in Denton, Kentucky to Lon and Alice (Tolliver) Miller and was the devoted wife of Dewey L. Caudill, Sr. for 65 years. She supported her husband, who served as deacon for over 36 years, at Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church and more recently attended Saltlick Freewill Baptist Church in Saltlick, Kentucky. Ruth enjoyed reading God’s word, constantly shining her light for the world to see.
Ruth was a living example of Titus 2:3-5 by teaching young ladies how to become Godly women and devoted Christian wives, which included cooking classes as well as sharing her love for quilting with everyone.
Ruth leaves behind to cherish many fond memories her children: son, Dewey (Janet) Caudill, Jr. of Portland, Tennessee; daughters, Nancy (Mike) Messer of Morehead, Kentucky, and Amanda (Robert) Branham of Olympia, Kentucky; son-in-law, Donald Branham of Crestline, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren with two more on the way; one brother, Jimmie Miller of Mansfield, Ohio; with many more family and cherished friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Branham; grandchildren, Sarah Ruth Caudill and Zachary Caudill; great-grandson, Roland Kemp, Jr.; brothers, Charles, Andy, and Cleotus Miller; and sisters, Mary Marcum, Bessie Ratcliff, and Elizabeth Cains.
Calling hours will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2022 at Walker Lake Baptist Church, 1602 Walker Lake Road, Mansfield, OH.
