Obituary
William Noble
May 9, 1991 - August 18, 2014
Billy “Slowbalt” Noble, Jr., 23, of Mansfield, died early Monday morning, August 18, 2014 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born May 9, 1991 in Mansfield. He was currently employed at Silver Line as a line leader.
Billy’s passion for Chevrolet Cobalts earned him the nickname “Slowbalt” from his dad, and he especially treasured his yellow Cobalt SS. He enjoyed cruising Park Avenue with his dad, little brothers and friends. His passion for flashy cars was equaled by his love of clothes and shoes, and his closet was overflowing.
He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, cheering them on with his mom by his side. Billy loved to eat and his favorite dishes were Jean Jean’s chicken and dumplings and Grandma Janie’s peanut butter fudge. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed spending free time with his many friends, as well as with friends he made at Power House Worship Church.
Although he wasn’t a father, he was a father-figure to many. Even though his life here was far too brief, his willingness to give of his time and talents will be remembered forever.
He is survived by his mother, Tanya Sherman; father, William “Pops” P. (Kelli) Noble, Sr.; three little brothers, Private 2nd Class, Nicholas Noble, his “Co-Pilot” Coldon Noble and Ryan Noble; two step sisters, Leah and Emily Klupp; his God son, Little Willie Mollett; maternal grandmother, Delilia Sherman; paternal grandparents who helped raise Billy, Manuel and Patricia Noble; special uncle, Mayberry; and best friend, Dakotah Starkey. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Rodney Sherman, Sr.; great-grandparents, Bill and Juanita “Granny” Morris and Price and Phema Noble; and special cousin, Lil Lee.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Billy’s dad, William P. Noble, Sr. and Pastor David Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Donate Life.
In honor of Billy, the family requests everyone wear something yellow-the color of his car-and to do a burn-out in his memory.
