Barbara Schlereth, 92, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024. She was born November 8, 1931. She was a 1949 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School. Barbara and her husband, Gerald “Doc” Schlereth, were married for 45 years. She and her husband enjoyed traveling on their Gold Wing motorcycle, round and square dancing with the Johnny Appleseed Squares, and clogging with the Buckeye Cloggers. She was a member of Woodville Grace Brethren Church. She was a legal secretary for 20 years and a volunteer at Med Central Hospital for several years. Barbara enjoyed family dinners and birthdays. She loved spending time with her great-grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her children, Mark (Nina) Schlereth, Lee Ann Kiser, and Troy (Abby) Schlereth; grandchildren, Molly Rhea, Lindsay (Jon) LaRue, Carrie Kiser, Chad Schlereth, Todd (Kelley) Schlereth, and Sean (Cassondra) Kiser; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents, Dan and Carrie Inscore; sisters, Janice Oswalt, Claudette Watson, and Alice Drake; and son-in-law Steve Kiser.
There will be a graveside service Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 1:15 PM at Mansfield Memorial Park, 2507 Park Avenue West, Ontario. Wappner Funeral Directors-Mansfield is honored to serve the Schlereth family.
