Obituary
Matthew Greener Madden, II, 77, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Lexington Court Care Center.
He was born March 12, 1944 to Elsie (Cox) Madden and Matthew G. Madden, Sr., both of whom preceded him in death.
Matt worked as an electrical mechanic for the Sprint Corporation for more than 25 years. Matt’s love of Harley Davidson motorcycles defined his adult life. He could always be found in a Harley t-shirt, chain wallet, blue jeans, and baseball hat no matter where he went on his motorcycle, even to church. Matt sung in church choirs all around Mansfield and New Smyrna Beach, FL and helped maintain the Renaissance Theater’s Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ for more than 10 years. He loved diners and could always be counted on for a smile or nice greeting.
Matt leaves behind his niece, Lisa (Emter) Parrish and her husband, Russ along with great-nieces, Molly and Addie and great-nephew, Vaughan; his brother-in-law, Gene Emter; his great-nieces, Morgan and Katelyn Emter; and niece, Jule Cheeseman Emerson.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Thelma (Madden) Emter and Faye (Madden) Cheeseman; and nephew, Christopher Robert Emter.
A graveside service will be held for those who would like to attend on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Mansfield Memorial Park, 2507 Park Avenue West, Mansfield, Ohio.
Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield assisted the family with the arrangements.
