LEXINGTON: Neil Gerald Wilson, 92, of Eisenhower Avenue, Lexington, died Friday morning November 16, 2007 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a long illness.
He was born March 23, 1915 in Medina County to James and Rose (Newfield) Wilson, and was graduated York (OH) High School.
Neil had worked 32 years with Aetna Insurance in the Mansfield office, and retired in 1980 as regional claims supervisor.
Neil was a member of Marquis Lodge #690 F&AM, Mansfield Grotto, and Lexington Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Patricia (Flood) Wilson; a daughter and son-in-law Sherry and John Hemingway of Morgan Hill, California; grandchildren Jimmy Hartman of Jackson, Wyoming; and Gennifre Hartman and her husband Taylor Lonsdale of Bozeman, Montana; and two great grandsons.
He was preceded in death by a brother Bernard Wilson.
The family will receive friends Sunday, November 18, 2007 from 4 – 6 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Monday at 11 AM. The Rev. Father Stanley Szybka will officiate. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions to St. Francis Catholic Church, 21 West Perry Street, Willard, may be made at the funeral home.
