Gary M. Wallace, 68, of Mansfield, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022.
Gary was born on October 26, 1953, in Shelby, to Noah and Genieva (Hicks) Wallace. He worked for over 30 years at Copperweld/Arcelor Metal-Shelby. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and going to Mohican State Park. Gary was a Jehovah’s Witness, was baptized on February 17, 1974, and loved to talk to others about the Bible. He loved to plant and care for his huge gardens at his house.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Vickie Wallace of Mansfield; son, David Wallace of Mansfield; grandchildren, Tyler Wallace and Autumn Wallace; and siblings, Norma Dean Bodine of Ontario, Ruthalean Thornton of Shelby, Noah Wallace, Jr. of Galion, Nora Jean Williamson of Florida, and Cathlean Rook of Kenton.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Delores Christine Cole, Clarence Elwood Wallace, Jeweldean Sites, David Paul Wallace, and Joseph Carroll Wallace.
Calling hours will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mansfield Memorial Park.
