Stuart C. Baird, age 80, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Brookdale of Mount Vernon.
He was born on April 15, 1941 in Mansfield and was the son of the late Stuart R. and Erma (Teeters) Baird.
Stuart was a United States Navy Veteran and an accomplished engineer.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Ruth Looney of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Taylor Looney and Erin Looney.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudine in 2006.
Private graveside funeral service will be held in Mansfield Memorial Park.
The Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel is handling the arrangements for the Baird family.
