Earnest Ingold, 62
Earnest Ingold, 62 of Shelby passed away early Friday morning, December 27, 2019 at home with his family by his side.
He was born on May 6, 1957 in Mansfield, the son of the late Winston and Mary (nee Ross) Ingold.
Ernie graduated from Hillsdale High School, Class of 1975.
He married the love of his life, the former, Geniece Spencer on May 7, 1976.
Ernie was employed for more than 44 years at Emerson Actuation Technologies, previously Shafer Valve as a service manager. Ernie founded and operated Ingold Sound for 15 years; a true passion of his, helping local churches support their ministry.
He was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church. Ernie was a loving husband and family man whose greatest love was his family.
Ernie is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mrs. Geniece Ingold of Shelby; two daughters, Holli (Matt) White of Savannah and Heather (Merle) Wentz of Delaware; one son, Jared (Tina) Ingold of Los Angeles, California; ten grandchildren; and two sisters, Barb (William) Grabbe of Wooster and Janet Thacker of Mansfield.
He is preceded in death by his father, Winston Ingold; his mother, Mary (Ed) Smith; one brother, Gene Ingold; and a granddaughter, Sonya White.
Funeral services will be held, Monday, December 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, 210 North Davis Road, Ashland, Ohio 44805 with Reverend Harry Strachan officiating. Interment will follow in the Mansfield Memorial Park. Friends may call, Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nationwide Children's Hospital, Heart Center, 700 Children's Dr, Columbus, OH 43205.
