Jacob "Jake" David Baumberger

April 25, 1986 - January 7, 2021

Jacob “Jake” David Baumberger, 34, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 7, 2021.

Jake was born on April 25, 1986 in Mansfield, Ohio to Kent and Camille (Cyrus) Baumberger. Jake was employed for almost 10 years at AK Steel. He married the love of his life, Danielle Stanforth on May 31, 2014, and they shared 6 years together. He was very handy and Jake could fix just about anything. Jake loved being outdoors and enjoyed trapping and hunting rabbit and squirrel. He was very involved with agriculture, enjoyed farming, and together with his father they raised steers. He loved riding four wheelers and was a past member of the Mansfield Motorcycle Club. Jake was a loving husband, and a devoted father who loved to spoil his daughter, Olivia. Many fond memories were made during the annual family trip to Colorado to visit family.

Jake leaves behind his wife, Danielle (Stanforth) Baumberger; his much loved and adored daughter, Olivia; his father, Kent Baumberger; his sister, Sheri (Jason) Anschutz; his in-laws, Bob and Robin Stanforth; his sisters-in-law, Brittany (Shawn) Healy, Bethany (Ryan) Crittenden, and Gabrielle (Steve) Jagdharry; many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and his best friend who was like a brother to him, Matt (Jessica) Caporini. He was preceded in death by his mother, Camille (Cyrus) Baumberger; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Family and friends may visit from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street. Pastor Sam Belsterling and Pastor Bob Stanforth will officiate the funeral service on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Jake will be laid to rest at Mansfield Memorial Park.
