Obituary
Marilyn Joanne Kessel Milum died peacefully in Sebring, Florida, on Friday, March 4, 2022, at the age of 93. A loving wife, mother, and friend, she will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts of those she left behind.
We rejoice that she will be reunited in heaven with Jon, her husband of 43 years, her parents, Stella and Clyde Kessel, and brother, Dick Kessel.
Marilyn was born in Mansfield, Ohio, on November 17, 1928. There she and Jon raised four daughters, Christine Kielmeyer (Paul), Kathleen DeBriyn (Larry), Karen Ellison (Beau), and Barbara Earhart (Ken). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Julie Jones (Patrick), Kara Guard (Brandon), Jonathan Pryor (Meghan Ninneman), Jenn Krebs (Jeremy), Joe Ellison, Ryan Earhart (Brooke), Katie Potts (Hunter), and 3 great grandsons, Bryson, Wyatt and Vance.
She and Jon moved to Florida after retirement and spent many happy years in the Sun ‘N Lake community where they made many friends. They enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, and the beautiful Florida sunshine.
One of her greatest enjoyments was vacationing at the Outer Banks with her entire family. Many wonderful memories were made in North Carolina.
In her later years she moved to Fellowship Home at the Fairway in Sun ‘N Lake (Sebring) where she continued to lead an active lifestyle well into her 90s.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Avon Park, Florida, on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. A celebration of her long and happy life and her burial will be held in Mansfield, Ohio, at a later date.
When tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart. For every time you think of me I’ll be right there in your heart.
Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
