Obituary
Susan Jane Lamb, age 88 of Mansfield, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. She was born on Sept. 14, 1933, in Mansfield the daughter of James Edward & Margaret (Veselosky) Marshall.
Suzy was a 1951 graduate of St. Peter’s High School and worked in purchasing at Tappan for many years where she met an engineer named Robert M. Lamb, Jr. On August 21, 1954, she and Bob were married. She went on to work for Shaw-Ott Medical and Central States Investments before she retired young to become a full-time mom to her four children. She was an active member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church for decades and became a member of Resurrection Parish when she and her husband moved closer to Lexington.
Suzy was a gracious and generous hostess who loved having people over and entertaining. She was skilled at cooking and made all sorts of delicious dishes. Suzy was a voracious reader. She was a member of a number of different bridge clubs and was very good at the game. She was also active with gardening clubs and enjoyed tending her flowers. In younger years, she and Bob spent the warm summer months boating on Charles Mill Lake on their pontoon boat. Described as fun-loving and outgoing, Suzy will be missed by many.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert Lamb of Mansfield; children Robert Lamb III (Karen) of Beverly Hills, MI, Nancy Lamb (Dan Denslow) of Mansfield, Laura Kohler (Vitali Chadrine) of Palmetto, FL, and David Lamb (Kym) of Lexington; grandchildren Robert Lamb IV, Cotter Lamb, Kathryn Lamb, Megan Chete (Joe), Christian Lamb, Adeline Lamb, and Jonathan Lamb; one great-grandson; and sister Helen Marshall of Mansfield.
Suzy will be welcomed into Heaven with open arms by her siblings Jim, Rita, Peggy, and Judy, and her parents.
A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 1, 2021, at Resurrection Parish, 2600 Lexington Ave, Mansfield, OH 44904, with friends invited to call the hour prior. Father Matthew Frisbee will celebrate the Mass and an urn burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
