Jim retired from the Tappan Company in 1992 after 24 years of service and in recent years attended the Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking. After he retired Jim drove the church bus to Day Springs County Home and brought the residents there to church for 8 years, where he was also involved with the senior citizens.
